I originally made it to host images for ao 13 because discord kept dropping them down the Bottomless Pit.

I did put way too much effort into it, though. I ha v e the images and! sneak peeks of my work-in-progress fics and original stuff, plus background music! if you allow neocities to autoplay audio, you can hear some songs I made for a discord server mini campaign that (unfortunately) fell apart a few years ago. It heavily involved the astral sea, and as soon as that was revealed I went into the DM's... uh, dms, and said HEY. YOU LIKE PLAYING AMBIANCE MUSIC. CAN I MAKE YOU AMBIANCE MUSIC FOR THE ASTRAL SEA and she went "uh?? sure???" it's made via assembling garageband loops, but I think it sounds good, so. Really, the important takeaway here is that All My Music Is Wet. my whole website is wet. :)
(fair warning, the audio balancing is also a WIP, so they might be too q uiet or too loud. sorry!!)

I' v e got what we in the business call a Band-Aid Solution vis-a-vis the fics looking alright, (static background, no music, most of them have a slightly warmer background instead of a Melt Your Eyes Out Your Head white) but I'm still waiting on neotome's downloadable code to publish so y'all can toggle sans/serif and light/dark modes instead of being wholly dependent on my aesthetic choices.

(speaking of fics: I really dunno how much hlvrai stuff I'm writing anymore! between some of the rtvs members being actively nasty and others pulling out publicity statements instead of apologies for the "promoting merchandise that funds a racist" thing. it just kinda! puts a bad taste in my mouth!! god I oughtta make an FA Q page or finally get that blog up or something so I don't have to. upd a te My Main Dang Website every time somethin g noteworthy happens.)

if an y one knows how to recover my old header fo r matting, or what the fuck is up with the letter misali g nments, or how to re-align my secondary blinkie on the right side of my page: you can tell me now! I finally have a guestbook!! this one is one a separate site and— like I'm still tweaking it, but I've probably spent, collecti v ely, a gazillion fuckin g years on the site settings and alt text and tooltips and stuff, and yk what? could be worse! click on either of the black computer blinkies and it'll take you to the guestbook. so far, nobody's commented, but also it's not like I really get a lot of site traffic so. /shrug.

I am still trying to reco v er all of my old fics, for the s a ke of a personal archive if nothing else, and the arcade A U is up!! the chapte r s are in! the website's files! they're right th e re in the folder with the gifs and background music! I cannot fucking link to them in a way that works, but they are somewhere! probably wherever my original header image settings a r e! I Am Drowning In Sub Folders, For The Love Of God, Montresor.
